Incresingly, companies large and small are getting to understand that blogging can be an effective tool of corporate communications and public relations.
And unless the CEO or some other senior executive with the CEO’s confidence is an experienced blogger, the next question for some will be, “Who are we going to call?”

Wow! The b5media blogging network has just launched six new blogs in the business channel and brought into the channel three other blogs from the broader network. That makes sixteen blogs in all (including this one) in the channel. And there are evidently more on the way.

One of my goals for this blog is to provide links to useful resources for business blogging. For a start I could organise the sprawling mass of favorites/bookmarks I’ve gathered over the past few years and serve them up, or at least the ones that still seem of use.

For quite a while now I’ve been trying to get a handle on what is covered by “Web 2.0″.
There is of course a Wikipedia entry, but I generally use Wikipedia for quick clues, rather than to read lengthy entries.
I’ve also read Tim O’Reilly’s What is Web 2.0 article of September last year.

When people are new to blogging, or just exploring the possibilities, one thing I do is encourage them to find blogs in their industry or field of interest. I used to say, search on Google™ or Yahoo!® And sometimes I would suggest Technorati.
