- focused consistently on business issues
- informative and even entertaining
- written professionally
- by bloggers respected by their peers
- updated regularly and at least several times a week?
You’ve read my mind.

The emphasis of this blog is on how blogging can work as part of an overall business strategy, especially for marketing and communications. Not so much on how to generate income directly from the blog itself.
However, the two are not incompatible. As well as having advertisements for its own products or services, a business could […]

I’m working with some colleagues on a couple of business initiatives and as a keen blogger I am naturally thinking about how to use blogs to help with the marketing.
And precisely because I am a blogger and I read and comment on other blogs, check my RSS readers regularly, listen to podcasts and am generally […]

From time to time I notice in one of my RSS feed readers a post or two on the general topic of full feeds vs. excerpts. It’s been on my list of Things I Must Get Around to Understanding Better.
Some bloggers like to syndicate only a partial feed, or excerpt, not the whole article or […]

RSS, webfeeds, syndication - very important concepts to understand for maximizing the reach and effectiveness of any blog.
So it’s good that in the Technology channel on our b5media network we have a blog dedicated to helping the rest of us understand what’s what in the world of feed - see A Feed is Born.
One slight […]

At a business breakfast I attended last Wednesday, the speaker was a legend of Australian business, Bob Ansett, who as his website says built Budget Rent a Car from scratch to a multimillion dollar enterprise. And in the process he became famous in Australia as a business innovator. Knowing of him and something of […]

As more and more businesses establish blogs and as the mainstream media carry articles about business blogs, it is becoming much less of a challenge for me to help business owners understand why a blog might be good for their business.
But one issue that I find comes up a lot is that of finding the […]
