Coffee Break

Welcome readers!
It’s another Sunday and we’ve got another great reading list for you. Have you got your coffee ready? Here’s today’s list:
- Blogging can help you get out of jail. This one’s been blogged all over the Internet, but here’s a link to the CNN story of how one blogger used microblogging (Twitter) to secure a release from jail.
- What social media should you use? The folks over at the CreateDebate blog (which is itself a great example of a business blog) have the answer in this chart titled: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Internet Users.
- More on blogging and stress. I wasn’t going to link to another post about the recent New York Times about bloggers getting sick and even dying, but Alex Iskold’s post, Faster - Why Constant Stress is Part of Our Future is so well-written and so though-provoking that I’ve made an exception.
- The move to mobile is on. I’ve been watching the trend toward mobile communications for some time. Over at Information Week Alexander Wolfe is making some bold predictions about the future of the Internet and about media itself.
- Is blogging more effective than copywriting? Seth Godin thinks so. On his blog he explains why everyone should Write like a blogger.
- More on blogging restrictions in the UK. Andy Beard has published a giant post telling more about the new laws that may affect what bloggers can publish.
- Blogging careers go mainstream! Jessica Santina at Yahoo! Education lists blogging as one of 10 Great Careers You’ve Probably Never Heard Of. Can you imagine students going to their guidance counselor and being told, “I think that you should consider being a professional blogger?”

Twitter - who knew! I just became a twitter-er last week, better add that mobile feature if I travel outside of the country.
LOVED the humor of the Create Debate blog - that was fun.
Social networking is a full time job in and of itself. I currently Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and participate in Skype forums. I can’t imagine MORE!
The Yahoo 10 careers didn’t show up for me.
If you carry out the social media posts, I’d love a breakdown of all the ones and why I should choose Digg over Del ic ious or vice versa, not sure if the jives with your Business and Blogging theme.
Thanks for the info!

Twitter - who knew, I just became a twitter-er last week, I’ll be sure to go mobile when going to a third world country.
Loved the CreateDebate humor.
You really can’t argue with Seth, can you?
Couldn’t get the link for the Yahoo 10 jobs.
