More On Twitter as a Business Tool
I’ve been thinking a lot more about Twitter as a business tool this week. Apparently, so is a lot of the blogosphere.
Some of the blogosphere discussions about Twitter this past week include:
- Mary Emma Allen of Home Biz Notes has written two posts: Using Twitter To Boost Your Home Business and Twittering Along With Twitter In Your Home Business.
- Yvonne Russell of Grow Your Writing Business is All A Twitter About Twitter - A Change of Heart.
- Des Walsh of Thinking Home Business writes about 5 Ways Twitter Helps Me In Business.
- Amy Palko of Lives Less Ordinary explains How Twitter Helped Me Meet My Deadline.
- Chris Brogan is talking about Twitter as Presence.
- John T. Unger of typepad hacks has published Twitter Tools, Tweaks and Theories
- Darren Rowse of ProBlogger is thinking of launching a Pay Per Tweet service. (Okay, this one is a joke, but who can resist the humor of it?)
I could go on and on, but the point is that the business blogosphere is taking a serious look at Twitter right now.
I’m not ready to make a final conclusion about the usefulness of Twitter for business quite yet. I’ll post about that at the end of this month.
I have, however, found that many corporate and business bloggers already do seem to have a Twitter presence:
Obviously, these corporate bloggers are finding some business value to Twitter.
What are your experiences with using Twitter for business?

Hey Laura, I think you’re spot on drawing attention to Twitter as a business communication and even marketing tool.
We did a survey of Twitter users on how to best use Twitter for marketing and here are the results:

Laura,
Thanks for sharing your views on Twitter…
One thing that I find Twitter useful for is market research. By posting a question in your tweet, people following you will reply and give you ideas and insights that you may not have thought of

Thanks for that WFFrederick. Of course, market research conducted on Twitter is limited to your followers. However, it can be used for a quick look at what people think.
