Social Media Workshop on Streaming Video
Today, June 11, from 9am to 3.30pm, anyone, anywhere in the world, who has access to the internet at a reasonable speed will be able to observe live a Palo Alto workshop on social media.
It’s the Social Media Club Workshop, “Starting the Conversation”. It’s described as
a day-long, hands-on, interactive workshop to help professional communicators ‘get’ social media programs started painlessly and effectively in the corporate workplace.
The workshop is being led by Shel Israel, co-author of Naked Conversations, How blogs are changing the way businesses talk with customers, and Social Media Club founder Chris Heuer, together with other industry luminaries.
Shel has already shared his speaker’s notes and, for those who prefer “bullet points”, the outline of his notes. One of the many takeaways for me from Shel’s notes was that this workshop is potentially of great value for anyone in the corporate world who is keen to marshall a case to present to senior executives for the introduction of social media tools in the enterprise.
Definitely not “more of the same”.
The video will be coming via Ustream, Monday June 11, from 9am to about 3.30pm PST.
