Wiki Explained in Short Video
Although I have a general understanding of what wikis are and how they function, and even though I use Wikipedia a lot, until today I would have been hard-pressed to provide a simple, plain English explanation to anyone who asked.
What’s changed today is that I’ve just seen a short video which explains very clearly, very non-technically, with entertaining pictures, the underlying structure of a wiki and how to use one, whether your aim is to organise a picnic or to create the next Wikipedia.
Thanks (again) to Lee LeFever at Common Craft.

I think this is the best explanation of what a wiki is and does and how it can help. I often try to explain the benefits of introducing a wiki even for the mid sized projects that we have; for now I think I will just point them to the video. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then this video is worth a million words! Many thanks.
